Will Mockel: Hello, Fair Lawn High School, and most importantly the Class of 2019. I am Will Mockel, am a 9th grader here at Fair Lawn, and am seeking election as the President of the Sophomore Class Council. I am prepared to help lead and guide next year's Class Council, and the Class of 2019 with several things in mind. First, of course, is the wants and needs of our class, and second are the words efficiency and effectiveness, words that I intend to use to guide us down the right path. With this considered, I feel I am the right choice for your vote.
Kamiya Patel: Hello! My name is Kamiya Patel, and I am running for the position of sophomore class council president. After being dedicated to class council this past year, I know what role the president needs to play to support not only the council, but the grade. My top priority as president would be to make sure that every individual in the class is spoken for and represented. Everyone should know about and be involved in more events. We will reach out to the entire grade in order to make the right decisions. I will be able to to live up to these expectations and lead the sophomore class council through a memorable year!
Natalie Rodriguez: Hello, my name is Natalie Rodriguez and I'm running to be the sophomore Class of 2019 Secretary. I have held the position this past year and think I am more than capable of doing the job for our upcoming school year. I understand the responsibilities of it and can execute all of the duties that it requires. I hope we have just as great next school year as this year was.
Sabrina Leibowitz: Sabrina Leibowitz is a freshman who is very excited about taking on the important role of Sophomore Class Council Treasurer. Sabrina’s main goal for the coming year is to raise and use the class funds in the most efficient and fun way possible. She is determined to arrange several class fundraisers next year that will get the involvement of the entire class. Which brings Sabrina to her next goal of being an officer in Student Council. Sabrina is going to work very hard in making the class of 2019’s Sophomore year the best it can be by getting everyone involved. For instance, making short surveys that students can access on their phones, taking exciting field trips, and planning events that will spark all of the student’s interests are just a few ideas she has to insure the class’s involvement and enthusiasm. Sabrina feels that the decisions for the class of 2019 should be determined by the entire class, not just the council. Overall Sabrina is so honored to be Sophomore Class Council Treasurer next year, and she is determined to not only manage the class’s funds in the best way possible, but also create a memorable Sophomore year for the class of 2019.
Sunzida Ahmed: My name is Sunzida Ahmed, I am in tenth grade, and I am running for Junior Class President. For the past two years, I’ve served as the incumbent president of my grade; which, in and of itself, has not only equipped me with the experience of a leader but the mindset of one as well. My time in office has enabled me to establish the presidency in a manner that deems it as an obligation and a passion rather than a mere title. In the past year, we have drastically improved our accumulation of funds and our success has surpassed expectations. I want to take the achievements we’ve had and push forward to greater extents and further accomplishments. I’ve witnessed, firsthand, that the Class of 2018 has a momentous potential for continuous development and improvement; if elected, our progression will cease as a potentiality and turn into a guaranteed reality.
Zoë Ozochiawaeze: My name is Zoë Ozochiawaeze and I am a sophomore running for junior class president for the 2016-2017 school year. Class council has always been my number one priority, and will continue to be just that the rest of my high school career. Next year, we will be juniors and as class president I want to make class council an outlet for the members of my class to be able to voice their ideas to make our junior year as great as it can possibly be. This is my second time running for president, and with your vote this outcome will surely be different. And remember, Yo Yo Yoey, Vote for Zoë!

My dedication to and involvement in Student Government stems from a drive to serve and a passion to lead. I have two years of presidential experience in student council and strive to take that same success and motivation within my class and extend it to the entire student body of Fair Lawn High School. This school deserves leaders that put the student body before themselves, leaders that instill democratic ideals into every decision they consider, and most importantly, leaders that can execute their duties while taking into account the best interest of the people they preside over. If elected, not only am I fully prepared to assume every responsibility of the vice presidency, but I will be the leader FLHS deserves.
Jackson Bianchi: My name is Jackson Bianchi, and I’ve got policies, about 16 of them to be exact. All of them revolve around benefiting the student body, and making Student Government a more efficient tool for the students. I want to give Technology a more active response mechanism to respond to student issues, I want to increase the services to clubs that we offer, and I want to widen the responsibilities of Home Room Representatives to better fit, respond, present, and resolve the needs of the school. With me as your Vice President I will work with the Board of Education and my fellow Executive Board Members to make sure that Student Government is accurately representing and solving the needs of the students. We can all do better as both students and members of Student Government to benefit ourselves and the school.

Board of Education Representative
Nicki Kissil: My name is Nicki Kissil, I am currently a Sophomore, and I am running for the position of Board of Education Representative for Student Government. I have always had a passion for government, which is why I involved myself in SGA as a home room representative my Freshman year. Since then, I have become even more involved. I am now the current Education Committee CCA and a member of the FLASAP committee. I am greatly interested in the initiative-driven part of Student Government, which is why I would excel in the BOE Rep. position, seeing as it works in tandem with the very people who decide whether or not changes can be made in our school for the better. This position would mean more to me than just a title or something to appeal to colleges with, but rather it would be a chance for me to put my passion to work and really serve FLHS in the best way that I know I can.
