Planning Research Assignments
All assignments that involve library and/or Internet research of any kind should be discussed with the librarian during the planning stage. The librarian will know if the necessary information is available, and in what format, and will also know if other similar assignments have been given which may limit the availability of materials. The librarian will prepare resource lists, if needed, or book displays. In most cases, the librarian will present a brief overview of materials and methods available at the beginning of the class period, leaving students ample time to work independently.
